Production team

All of our productions are created and produced in house and to achieve the high quality product. We have a wealth of talent that work behind the scenes.

Creative team

From creating new concepts for award winning scare mazes, to directing pantomimes, writing and developing new CBeebies live shows and producing music for the theme park, the creative team are the ideas behind the fantastical entertainment at the Alton Towers Resort.

Scenic construction

The Scenic Construction team at Alton Towers is made up of a small group of highly skilled props, carpentry and scenic painting specialists. The diverse skillset of our team members allows us to produce a dynamic portfolio of work that meets the ever changing demands of the resort. From scratch built props and custom environments for Cbeebies land and hotel, right through to the high paced blood guts and gore of the Scarefest mazes, our dedicated team work from concept to completion to the highest of standards.

Costume

From Halloween’s Scarefest, resort-themed Street theatre to Christmas’s Panto, there is such a diverse range of costumes that we create annually here at Alton Towers. Every day is different, one day we could be making a Dame’s costume and the next an Alien. All aspects of the costume production are done in house, from design right through to make. All costume staff get involved with all sorts of techniques and skills due to the range of costumes and projects we produce here; from breaking down costumes, dying fabric, wig styling, to makeup and repairs. Working in the costume department is fast paced and ever-changing.

Technical

Our Entertainments Technical team at the Resort look after all of the Lighting, Audio, Video, special effects and Show Control elements across CBeebies Land, our four hotels and our new ride, the Wickerman and not forgetting our Spooktacular Scarefest, Fireworks and Christmas events. Our Technicians have a huge wealth and variety of experience within the live event industry. This includes working within corporate events, Live TV, Exhibition shows, Rock and Roll tours and theatre shows. They bring some weird and wonderful ideas to life when saying “no” is just not an option. They can be making 16A cables one day and building an award-winning scare maze the next.

Stage and Company Management

The stage management team are responsible for the day to day operational running of all entertainments product and managing the cast. When not working on the park operationally, they are writing health and safety codes, creating rotas, training new staff and preparing for events like Scarefest and Christmas. This role encompasses a number of duties from looking after the welfare of the cast and crew to ensuring all operational equipment is in place.

Shows and attractions hosts

As a Host within the entertainment team, you are the face of front of house for all of our shows and experiences. Our Hosts are guest facing and work alongside the performers to deliver memorable experiences. They are involved in all of our exciting events throughout the year. Team leader opportunities are also available as a progression from this role.
